Renting a Festival Tent in Springfield, Illinois

Springfield gets a lot of sun, so tents are in high demand and there are plenty of options to choose from. What should you look for when looking for a Springfield festival tent rental?

Consider the Basics

First off and most importantly you have to figure out how many people might be under your tent at any one given time. This will help you determine the size of the tent. You’re going to need a big tent if there’s two hundred people eating lunch under it! Second, figure out the surface that you plan to install the tent on. Our experience shows that most festival tents are set up on grass. Therefore, it might make sense to go with a canopy tent rental. The canopy tent looks really cool with it’s ceiling swoops and central support poles – just the type of thing you’d see at a festival or a carnival.

Seating and Food Situation

Will the food be served under the tent? Will there be enough room for seating all your guests? Can everyone comfortably move around given how much room there will be between tables and chairs? These are all important questions, and things you have to think about before ordering a Springfield festival tent rental.

Decorations

There are lots of different kinds of tent decorations available to spice up your festival tent rental and add in a bit of charm to the overall atmosphere. Since festival tents tent to be large canopy pole tents, think about getting some lighting fixtures on the interior poles of the tent! Maybe some perimeter lighting globes. Of course, if you’re shutting down before the evening then lighting is mostly redundant!

Talk with the Party Rental Company

Luckily, party rental companies are experts in this regard, and can help you figure out exactly which tent will work best for your Springfield festival. Just be sure to let them know all the relevant bits of information and they can take it from there!

Tent Rental for Weddings in Chicago

Find the perfect tent rental for your Chicago wedding can be quite a challenge! Here are some tips that you want to keep in mind when renting a tent for your wedding!

Consider the Size Tent You Need

Think about how many people are going to attend your Chicago wedding. What size tent can comfortably seat all the guests you plan on accommodating? Also keep in mind the size of the venue. Sometimes, the venue only has enough space for a certain size range of wedding tent rentals. Also consider what surface the tent will be set up on. For example, if you can only set up on hard surfaces, it may limit your options to only frame tents.

Decide on the Tent Style

Wedding tent rentals typically are available in one of two styles: frame tents, and canopy tents. The main difference between the two are the interior structures of the tents.

Frame tents have an interior skeleton-like frame and multiple perimeter legs that support the roof of the tent, thereby eliminating the need for any center support poles. This has the distinct advantage of leaving more unobstructed room in the central areas of the tent for tables, chairs, dance floors, etc. Frame tents can be set up on more surfaces as well, such as grass, asphalt, concrete, etc. They can be secured with water barrel weights or staking, but staking tends to be less of an eyesore.

Canopy Tents – or pole tents – feature central poles that support the weight of the tent. Central poles do have the slight disadvantage of breaking up some of the available room in the tent. However, the effect they produce looks quite nice with the draped ceiling of the tent. They can also be decorated with chandeliers or other lighting fixtures for a very elegant look. The outside of the tent is supported with side poles, which are secured with straps that are staked down around the outside of the tent. Pole tents must be secured with stakes, and can therefore only be set up on grass surfaces.

Lighting and Decorations

Wedding tents tend to be decorated with elegant light fixtures that contribute to an elegant and graceful atmosphere for the guests. We’ve seen all kinds of lighting options, such as chandeliers from center poles of tents, to floating orb lamps hanging down from frame tent fixtures. There are also perimeter light options that look very nice during evenings. Some people opt for flashier choices and get colored lights shining up at the ceilings of the tents for a very colorful effect. Shop around for lighting and decoration options and see if they’re all compatible with the type of tent you’re planning on renting for your Chicago wedding!

Heating and Cooling

Check the weather forecasts for your wedding date! For cold weather, you may need to get a tent with sidewalls for to retain heat. If it’s hot, and air conditioner can keep your guests comfortable during the reception or ceremony.

What To Look For When Renting Tables and Chairs

What To Look For When Renting Tables and Chairs

Planning the seating for your guests can be a huge hassle. You have to plan out spacing, see how many tables you need, decide on linens and consider various floorplan options. Here's what you should know.

Step 1: Number of Guests

The first thing to consider when looking for chair and table rentals is how many people you expect to have at your event. The number of people directly determines how many chairs you need to rent, as well as how many tables (and what size tables) you need. Make sure that you have the right number of seats and that the size and number of the tables can comfortably accommodate all your guests!

Step 2: Table Shape

The second thing to consider is the shape and size of the tables. Some people prefer to have a few rows of rectangular tables with rows of space in between, but others like to have a scattering of many round tables. We’ve found that round tables are usually more popular because it creates a better layout for conversation amount the groups at the tables. With rectangular tables, you’re mostly limited to talking with those next directly to your left and right and across, but with round tables, it’s easier to see everyone and more comfortable to converse with anyone at the table.

Step 3: Considering Venue Space

The space available at your chosen venue plays a large role in determining your seating layout. Depending on the shape and size of the tables, you can only fit so many people per table and depending on the space available at the venue, you can only fit so many tables with enough space between them for people to be able to comfortably move around.

Step 4: Deciding on the Style

The style of the chairs and tables should match the theme and general atmosphere of the event you’re planning. If you’re about to host a wedding, then people tend to go with fancier chairs, nice linens for the tables, etc. If you’re hosting a backyard party for some guests, then maybe a folding table and basic folding chairs are more appropriate, and easier for your budget.

Step 5: Consult with your Vendor and Finalize the Order

Once you know what you want, talk with your chosen party rental company and finalize the order! If you’ve thought about all of the above steps, then your seating arrangement should be all set!
